A native of Nepal, Adheep Pokhrel developed a deep interest in social issues from a very young age. Growing up amid the adversity of South Asia, he pursued an academic and professional interest in the development sector with the desire to address social inequality. Adheep holds a master of social work (MSW) from Columbia University, New York. Over the last fifteen years, he has worked in the areas of public health, refugee resettlement, climate change and food security, youth and media mobilization, youth empowerment and education with local and international civil society organizations in Nepal, and the United States. Adheep is currently using his experience to understand and explore the evolving fields of social entrepreneurship and social innovation and their role in strengthening civil society in Georgia through the Centre for Training and Consultancy (CTC).
