Ana Abashidze is steering committee member of the ChildPact. ChildPact is a coalition of coalitions, which unites 500 NGOs from 11 countries in the extended Black Sea Region and South Caucasus. Abashidze is the Chairwoman and trial attorney of non-governmental, non-profit organization “Partnership for Human Rights” (PHR). For seven years, Ana as children’s rights and feminist lawyer worked for the office of Public Defender (Ombudsman) of Georgia and a national expert of gender equality of UN Women. Abashidze is also certified trainer on using the European Convention on Human Rights and European (revised) Social Charter for practicing lawyers in Georgia. She is author of several human rights monitoring and research reports and publications on the rights of children, people with disability, gender equality and women’s rights.
Abashidze received a BSc in Law from the Georgian Technical University and a LLM from Tbilisi State University. She graduated from American University Washington College of Law as a fellow of Hubert H. Humphrey fellowship program 2017-2018, in Washington, DC. During the program, she was professionally affiliated with the international human rights organizations such as Amnesty International and Disability Rights International in Washington, DC.
