Irina Mednikova

Social activist, journalist, Head of the Board of Trustees of the Youth Information Service of Kazakhstan.

She has been working in the field of youth policy for about 15 years. General Director of the Youth Information Service of Kazakhstan from 2007 to 2019. The organization works in the field of advocacy, human rights and civic education of youth. In 2010, she launched ZhasCamp project — youth non-conference. In 2015 she initiated the first Human Rights School. Trainer on the development of public initiatives and on human rights for youth. In 2018 she conducted a comparative study “Youth in the CIS: Armenia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine.”

She has also been working in journalism for over 15 years, for such media as Respublika, Forbes, Esquire, Assandi Times, Vlast. Was awarded with two journalism awards for the loyalty to the subject of human rights.
